- Ingredients:
- 2 egg whites
- 100 g powdered sugar
- 200 g walnuts in quarters
- 1/2 vial butter-vanilla flavouring
- small wafer/rice paper rounds
Preparation:

Beat egg whites until stiff. Take care that there are no traces of egg yolk in the egg whites or they will not peak.
Gradually add powdered sugar and then add butter-vanilla flavouring.
Carefully fold in walnut quarters.
With two teaspoons drop small mounds of the mixture onto the rounds.
Bake, i.e., let dry, ca. 20-40 minutes at 100-130° C. Leave the oven door slightly open so that the macaroons rise nicely.
