- Ingredients:
- 500 g spaghetti
- 150 g streaky bacon (side bacon)
- 1 small onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 eggs
- 50 ml cream
- 50 ml milk
- 50 g parmesan or pecorino
- salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley
Preparation:

Cook the spaghetti al dente according to the instructions on the package. In the meantime dice onions and bacon, and mince the garlic clove.
Sauté onions, bacon, and garlic. Mix the cream, milk, parmesan/pecorino, salt and pepper, and eggs thoroughly.
Drain the noodles well. Then mix all the ingredients, including the parsley, in a bowl.
Tip: The spaghetti must be mixed with the egg-cheese mixture immediately after it has been drained. Because the spaghetti is boiling hot, the eggs will solidify immediately but will not become flaky. The bowl in which the spaghetti is mixed should be pre-heated.
By the way, this is not the original ‘Spaghetti alla Carbonara’ recipe!
