- Ingredients for 4 people:
- 500 g mixed ground meat
- 50 g streaky bacon (side bacon)
- spaghetti or other pasta
- 1 onion
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 carrot
- 1 stalk celery
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 500 g chopped canned tomatoes
- 150 ml red wine
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tsp chopped parsley
- salt, pepper
- fresh parmesan
Preparation:

In a fry pan, cook the chopped onions in the olive oil until they are glassy.
Peel garlic, celery, and carrot and cut into small pieces. Fry for about 5 minutes together with the bacon.
Add the ground meat and fry at a high temperature for about 3-5 minutes until the meat is brown.
Deglaze with red wine and add canned tomatoes, oregano, and sugar. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and let simmer for at least one (better two) hours.
Add tomato paste to the meat sauce, season to taste with salt and pepper, and add parsley shortly before serving.
Serve with spaghetti cooked al dente (other pasta can also be used). Freshly grated parmesan cheese is always good with spaghetti bolognese.
