- Ingredients for about 4 people:
- lasagna noodles
- 300 g minced meat
- olive oil for frying
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1/8 L red wine
- basil and parsley
- 500 g strained tomatoes
- 40 g butter
- 40 g flour
- ¾ L milk
- salt, pepper, nutmeg
- butter for the baking dish
- 200 g grated cheese
Preparation:

For the Filling:
Dice the onions. Chop up the garlic cloves.
Brown the minced meat in a fry pan with the olive oil while stirring.
Add the onions and the garlic and continue frying.
Add the red wine.
Season with salt and pepper.
Add the strained tomatoes and bring to a boil.
Then add parsley and basil.
For the Béchamel sauce:
Melt the butter in a saucepan.
Stir in the flour and heat until golden brown.
Remove the saucepan from the stove.
Stir in the milk with a whisk.
Bring the mixture to a boil and let simmer for 10 minutes.
Season to taste with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
Grease the baking dish with butter.
Place a layer of lasagna noodles into the baking dish.
Then add a layer of minced meat filling.
After this add the Béchamel sauce.
Repeat the layers in the same order ending with the Béchamel sauce.
Then sprinkle the grated cheese over the lasagna.
Bake for about 25-30 minutes at 180C.

By the way, Lassagne is wrong. Lasagna is the original word and comes from the baking dish in which it is made.
