- Ingredients:
- 2 l water
- 2 kg sugar
- 50 g citric acid
- 2 lemons
- 20 elder flower clusters
Preparation:

Mix water, sugar, and citric acid.
Slice lemons. Remove dirt and insects from the elder flowers (do not wash!). Place both ingredients in the water mixture.
Let stand covered for 4 days, stirring occasionally so that the sugar is dissolved completely.
Strain syrup through a cloth and fill into bottles.
Tip: A splash of elder syrup in mineral water makes a tasty thirst quencher.
