- Ingredients:
- 2 egg whites
- 150 g sugar
- 1 vial bitter almond flavouring
- grated rind of ½ lemon
- 200 g ground almonds
Preparation:

Beat egg whites until stiff. Add sugar, bitter almond flavouring, and grated lemon and mix.
Fold in the grated almonds.
With two teaspoons shape small round balls (ca. 1.5 cm in diameter) and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake amaretti at 150° C for ca. 30 minutes. Let cool and remove from baking sheet.
Amaretti and coffee is an unbeatable combination.
