Recipe - Marinated Beef
- Ingredients:
- 750 g beef
- For the Marinade:
- 1 onion
- 1 tsp pepper corns
- ½ tsp salt
- 3 bay leaves
- 4 cloves
- ¼ l water
- ¼ l vinegar
- For Frying:
- 3 tbsp oil
- corn starch to thicken the sauce
Preparation:

Place beef and ingredients for the marinade in a bowl. Let stand in a cool place about 4-6 days. Turn meat daily.

Heat oil in a fry pan and sear meat on all sides, so that the pores close and a browning flavour is created.
Deglaze with the marinade and braise covered for ca. 2 hours.

When tender, remove meat and let stand for 5 minutes. Strain the cooking liquid through a sieve and then press through a finer sieve or a clean cheese cloth.
Bring the sauce to a boil again and thicken with corn starch to desired consistency.

Slice marinated beef, arrange on preheated plates and serve with boiled potatoes and a vegetable of your choice.
