Recipe - Potato Salad
- Ingredients:
- 1,5 kg potatoes
- 3 eggs
- 250 ml mayonnaise
- ½ jar pickles
- 2 tbsp mustard
- salt, pepper, paprika, vinegar
- parsley, chives
- optional: 1-2 apples
Preparation:

Cook unpeeled potatoes (don’t let them get too soft!) and peel while warm – It’s easier. Let cool and cut in slices.
Hard boil eggs and let cool.
In the meantime, finely dice pickles. The dressing for the salad can also be prepared as the potatoes and eggs cool. Mix mayonnaise, mustard, and some liquid from the pickles and season to taste with salt, pepper, and paprika. Add a bit of vinegar to taste.
Dice the cooked egg whites. The egg yolks can be crushed with a fork and mixed into the salad dressing.
Mix potatoes, pickles, and eggs whites with the dressing. Add herbs and season to taste again if necessary. Give the potato salad some time to set before serving!
Tip: We usually add 1-2 apples to the salad – peeled, cored, and diced. The apples can be left out, however, as they are not to everyone’s taste.
